As we mark our 125th anniversary this year, we at Sharpes Stock Feeds would like to say thanks for the unwavering trust and support from all our customers, farmers, team, partners, and all the people that have supported us along the way.
Our story began way back in 1899 when John Sharpe started out in Petone, helping small farmers and horse-drawn transport in the Hutt Valley. Fast forward to today, and we’ve grown, innovated, and stayed true to our commitment to quality and service.
In 1937, the Orsborn family took the helm, and under their stewardship, Sharpes Stock Feeds has continued to thrive. From the early days of producing feed for intensive livestock to our current state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, we have always embraced change and innovation. Our move to the Wairarapa in the 1980s and the subsequent upgrades to our facilities have enabled us to produce nutritionally balanced rations for all farm livestock, ensuring the highest quality feed for our customers.
As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we reflect on the many achievements and challenges that have shaped us. From the installation of our computerised batching plant in 1991, the new packing line, the introduction of biodegradable bags for our lifestyle range in 2020, and more recently, the company rebrand to keep up with modern times. Each step has been a part of our continuous journey towards where we are today
At the end of November, we will gather with key partners, including customers, farmers, growers, team members, and friends, to celebrate our shared successes and look forward to the future.
